It was detention time again for South Africa’s star-studded team of talented tasters. The punishment brought more pleasure than pain, as we glugged away at another Cape red.
Michael Olivier introduced the 2021 Perdeberg Grenache Noir to EY Cova’s Duane Newman, automotive legend Jeff Osborne, Cape Wine Master Debi van Flymen, broadcaster Cobus Bester and IT legend Malcolm Macdonald.
The panel also discussed the challenge of ageing wines in SA’s hot climate.
